Damn what a fucked up service.

My advice..  Well, pending my confirmation from their customer service on my particular issue, I would say stay away.  Its quite un-evolved, especially for those of you who might expect Apple’s level of service when it comes to serving media.

What drew me to it? The TiVo functionality.  What else?  I was thrilled that it was possible for me to rent/buy amovie, and have it in my living room in such short order. but nooooooooooo…..

My first download, Borat, went just fine.  Ordered it, downloaded it to the TiVo, watched it.  Laughed my ass off (good movie).  The second movie… ‘Man of the Year’… would not download to my TiVo at all, even after repeated attempts. not only this, but apparently you cannot download TV shows to your TiVo.  I bought 2 seasons of one of my favorite series, and not only couldn’t i DL to my TiVo, but the first one was incomplete.

My advice is to avoid this service.  Its a joke… for the moment.  It could well improve, given i know its a glorified beta, I full well understand that it takes some time to work the kinks out. But, Amazon, if you are listening, ‘DRM’ does not mean ‘fuck your customers over’.

Look. I’m an IT guy.  I know it isn’t that difficult.  Just do it right.
